Transit Oriented Development

This video encapsulates almost everything i’m trying to achieve on re:kuwait in terms of transit oriented development and more walkable neighborhoods. It shows in a very concise and simple way how we can create the sort of neighborhoods that I describe in posts such as this.

  1. I want! Now! >83

  2. I would love to see this implemented for a residential block in Kuwait, with proper alteration to our weather of course. There’s a similar concept called the Road Diet that also focuses on reducing the number of width of road lanes to affect peoples’ health.

Keep up these great posts 🙂

  3. Of course, the pathways will all lead to a mosque, which becomes the focal point of every neighborhood. I find it heartbreaking to see people who live less than 5 minutes walk from a mosque having to drive there and struggling to find a place to park. We can do better.
